Information for Individuals under the GDPR
Respecting confidentiality and working with confidential information, including your personal information, is an important part of the legal profession. At the Law Firm Titan, we strive to the highest extent for the careful and professional management of your personal data, which is also in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other legislation, especially the Attorneys Act.

What data are processed and on what legal basis or for what purpose?
Within case files we process the following data for the purpose of representing clients and conduct of the proceedings based on a contract with the client:
- name and surname of the client,
- ermanent or temporary address of the client,
- client's e-mail address and telephone number,
- client's tax number and personal or other identification number,
- personal data of the client necessary for the representation of the client or the conduct of proceedings (the categories of data depend on the nature of the case),
- personal data of the opposing party necessary for the conduct of the proceedings.
Within the accounting records, we process the following client's data for the purpose of invoicing based on a contract with the client:
- name and surname,
- permanent or temporary address,
- tax number,
- balance of outstanding receivables,
- invoice specification (description of the services provided to the customer).
We process the data you provide to us via our website on the basis of your explicit consent:
- name and surname,
- email address,
- content of the messages you send us.
The contractual provisions comply with the legislation, in particular with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2) and the Attorneys Act.

How long do we store your data?
We keep your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the contract or until your consent is withdrawn, where the latter is the legal basis for processing it, except where a retention period is provided for by law.
What are the rights of individuals?
In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. These rights may be limited by law or by the rights of other individuals.

In your request, you must identify yourself and clearly specify your request. If there is reasonable doubt as to the identity of the individual making the request, Law Firm Titan may request additional information or evidence to confirm his identity.
We will ensure the exercise of these rights without undue delay, and at the latest within one month of receiving the request. This time limit may be extended by up to two additional months, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. In the event of an extension, we will inform you within one month of receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay. If you make a request by electronic means, the information shall, where possible, be provided by electronic means, unless you request otherwise. If we do not act on your request, we shall inform you without delay, and at the latest within one month of receipt of the request, of the reasons for not taking action, of the possibility of lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority and seeking judicial remedies.
If your requests are clearly unfounded or excessive, in particular because they are repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication or of carrying out the requested action, or refuse to act on the request.
Right to appeal
If you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of the applicable regulations governing the protection of personal data, you may address a complaint to us by sending it to the address of the Odvetniška družba Titan o.p., d.o.o. (Law Firm Titan o.p., d.o.o.), Tavčarjeva 10, 1000 Ljubljana, or by e-mail to office@titan.law.
You may also lodge any complaint directly with the supervisory authority for the protection of personal data, the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.
Does the processing involve automated decision-making?
No.
Do we have a Data Protection Officer?
We do not have a Data Protection Officer, as this obligation does not exist for us according to the legislative criteria. Any questions you may have regarding the protection of your personal data can be sent to office@titan.law.
